The photos on this site have been filtered and staged. This at best is a hostel, not a hotel. The rooms are small and not comfortable. We arrived at 5:30 in the evening. We had to carry our luggage up 2 flights of stairs. The person who checked us in, and had us pay the tax at that time, in all other hotels I have stayed at this is done at check-out, left the building immediately once that was completed since the "reception hours" are 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Unfortunately for us, the Ryder Cup was taking place in Rome and we could not find another place to stay or we would have left. I'm providing pictures of the entryway, stairs, and the always-vacant reception area.

Entry is filthy dirty. So dirty I demanded to see my room before dragging my bag up the steps. There is no elevator. The tile in the bathroom had handprints all over it as if has never been wiped down and the shower area leaked and was moldy. I was not at all comfortable in the location either. It was dark and covered in trash. DO NOT STAY HERE.

The room was not as clean as the images on the website described. It was very dark, the shower head broken and could do with a major refurbishment. I asked to move room and was told by the managerhad to wait a day and that she would alert the cleaner. When I was ready to move the cleaner did not let me in because he was not informed. I had to leave all my packed belongings in the previous room and also discovered that one of my holdall which I left in the room disappeared. Not a place I'd go back to.

The accommodation was great in a perfect location to visit Rome. The room was quiet in spite of facing a busy road. The staff was polite and accommodating. The only problem was the lift which didn't reach the mezzanine floor where the accommodation was situated. It was difficult with heavy suitcases and it would have helped knowing in advance that the lift was an issue.

Located less than a 1 min walk from Pizza del Popolo, Rippeta Guest house is an excellent choice for all those who are coming to Rome, both for business and pleasure. All the city sightseeing landmarks are in a walking distance, so the location cannot be more perfect. The rooms are exquisite and clean. They are cleaned daily, with toiletries and towels, slippers and hairdryer. It gets a bit loud at the night (if you are sleeping with an open window). The bed is comfortable. The room also has a Nespresso machine and the coffee is supplied daily. The owners Francesco and Federico are great - kind, helpful and attentive. The breakfast is served in the nearby restaurant called Porto Di Ripetta, just around the corner. It is also excellent, and rich. You can order any type of coffee you want - they do not charge extra.The building is well secured , with a code, both on the entrance and on the first floor! Whenever I come back to Rome in future, I will definitely stay there again.
